9. Who is qualified to receive baptism of the Holy Spirit?

Any believer of Jesus Christ, who truly desires to be obedient to Him.

Acts 5:30-32

5:30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
5:31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

10. Is the baptism of the Holy Spirit necessary in order to be saved? No.

Acts 8:12-17 (they were saved prior to receiving the Holy Ghost baptism)

8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
8:13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
8:14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
8:15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
8:16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
8:17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

Mark 16:16-20

16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
16:20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

John 3:36

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

11. Name four reasons for laying on of hands.

1. for baptism in the Holy Spirit, 2. for healing, 3. for ordination into the ministry, 4. for blessing.

12. Is laying on of hands a symbolic act or otherwise?

Otherwise.

Numbers 27:18-20

27:18 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him;
27:19 And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.
27:20 And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.

Deuteronomy 34:9

And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.

13. How many resurrections will there be?

Two. See Revelation 20

14. Which resurrection is the better one?

The first one. Those in the first resurrection will rule and reign with Christ Jesus. They are the ones who have gone all the way with Christ, even laying down their lives for His sake. Revelation 20

Hebrews 11:35-40

11:35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:

11:36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
11:37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
11:38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
11:39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
11:40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

15. Will all believers be in the same resurrection?

No. Notice that at the end of Revelation 20, the Book of Life is opened. Some people are not in the book and are cast into the Lake of Fire. Those whose names are in the book (Christians who were not in the first resurrection) are saved.

16. To what place will those who reject Christ be sent?

Hell and then at the last judgment, the Lake of Fire. Revelation 20, Luke 16:19-31

17. Will all believers receive the same rewards?

No. 1 Corinthians 3:14-15, 15:41

18. What is the "milk" or "basics" of the word?

  1. Repentance from dead works,
  2. faith towards God,
  3. doctrine of baptisms,
  4. laying on of hands,
  5. resurrection of the dead,
  6. eternal judgment.

Hebrews 6:1-3

6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
6:3 And this will we do, if God permit.

By Faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death: and was not found, because YAHUVEH had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased YAHUVEH. Hebrews 11:5
